So today we are going to talk about Finland and Russia and David

and what it all means and where it goes from here.

Obviously, David is not just some person named David.

Okay, Finland, the newly minted member of NATO.

Almost as soon as they signed up, they started asking for something pretty specific. They requested a specific system.

The United States has approved the sale of David's

slang to Finland. This was a joint project between Raphael Advanced and Raytheon. It's an air defense system and it is, uh,

it has a lot of, it has a lot of good reviews put it that way

It is designed to target stuff out let's see from 25 miles to somewhere between 160 and 190 miles based on the

published specs. The United States tends to underestimate their actual specs. With what is publicly released, they actually work a little bit better than that.

It is useful for countering drones, planes, long-range rockets, tactical ballistic missiles,

cruise missiles, so on and so forth.

During the design of this particular system it was a rumor mill says that there was a specific effort

to make sure that it could deal with as scanners. Russia's preferred rocket, their preferred system.

So David Sling will now be in Finland,

right up against Russia's borders.

When we talk about how Russia lost the war already,

that the fighting on the ground about the dirt and the lines on the map, when it comes

to the geopolitical situation, the war isn't about the fighting, the war is about the geopolitical goals.

This is something that Russia wanted to avoid.
