Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about finding out real quick, tariffs, and timing.

Okay, so a couple of you sent a message with a screenshot of a story about a person who

says their husband works at a small manufacturing company in southwestern Pennsylvania.

The boss basically told them that Christmas bonuses were canceled because the company has to buy

a year's worth of supplies before Trump takes office because of his promised tariffs.

The boss then had to go on and explain how tariffs actually work

and how it will impact their company. All right, so there's not enough information in the

screenshots for us to confirm whether this actually happened or not. It could have. But to be honest, I'm skeptical because it's too perfect.

The area mentioned is an area that voted for Trump, the emotional play with Christmas, the just

desserts. There's a lot of it that just reeks of a manufactured story.

That being said, it could be true.

But that brings us to our next items linked to this.

The National Retail Federation has come out saying that Trump's proposed tariffs are bad.

For those who thought that was just some kind of talking point for the left, it doesn't get more capitalist than the National Retail Federation. They're the world's largest retail trade association.

So how bad did they say it was going to be? They said his proposed tariffs would cost American

consumers, that's us, a minimum of $46 billion

per year and up to $78 billion per year. That's about a grand a year per family. The CEO of the

Federation said, quote, the adoption of across-the-board tariffs on consumer goods and other

non-strategic imports amounts to a tax on American families. And added, quote, it will drive

inflation and price increases and will result in job losses.

Inflation and job losses.
