Well, howdy there internet people,

So today we are going to talk about the US and China

in Munich and how hopefully all of this balloon stuff will be coming to an end soon.

The United States State Department has confirmed that the Secretary of State will be traveling to the Munich Security Conference.

This is a little get-together where 99 ministers meet. Happens every year. The location of it is kind of chosen so high-level

talks can occur so people can sit down and just chat and kind of get a face-to-face meeting.

The Secretary of State's counterpart from China will also be there.

There's no official meeting set, but the odds are they will attempt to sit down and work out a little deal and come to an arrangement when it comes to balloons.

They will talk about the 10 U.S. balloons that China alleges flew over their

territory and the U.S. denies and the Chinese balloon or balloons that flew over US territory that China denies.

And they'll kind of hash it out. This would parallel how a lot of stuff worked during the Cold War and how agreements were reached in private and then us commoners were

told about it later. I would imagine that that is going to occur. I'm

fairly certain that's what State Department is hoping will occur.

If the Secretary of State is unable to get a meeting and no face to face takes place,

that would demonstrate pretty clearly that U.S. Chinese

relations are up in the air. But with a little bit of luck, they'll be able to work out a deal. They will come to some kind of understanding. Now if they have a meeting and

they don't work out a deal, that's that is probably because somebody is not authorized to make a decision somewhere.

So they will have a phone call and work it out later.

Or if they are just unable to come to any kind of

accord, any kind of agreement, or they can't even get a meeting.
