Well, howdy there, Internet people? It's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about

Democratic messaging and how it could change. Recently, when talking about the last election,

I said that Democrats don't really always use good messaging. It led to questions. Here's one of

many. Quote, I hear people talk about how

we're bad at messaging, but I don't see it. Please give me alternative messaging to things

Republicans are dead set against. What messaging would make Republicans care about climate

change? They just don't care about anyone

but themselves. Most will never care about climate change directly. To most, it seems too far away,

even though it isn't. There's decades of propaganda that they've bought into that would have to be

overcome. Better messaging

has to resonate with a wide cross-section of America. So maybe it's better to frame arguments

for them within what they already know and believe. You said they just don't care about anyone

but themselves. Use that. Modern Republicans have

strong nationalist tendencies. So when talking directly to them, it doesn't help to say that

certain countries will be hit hard very soon. They don't care. So you need something that appeals to them.

America is falling behind in new energy production. America's losing. China is outperforming

the U.S. in adoption of new energy. China is winning. They'll have limitless, low-cost energy, will be behind. They don't care about the

economic costs of climate change, but they care about themselves in their economic situation.

Cheaper energy, cleaner energy is cheaper energy. It will lower their bills. Focus on the reduction in cost. They care about jobs.

Those jobs are going to be in China or other countries that are beating us in production.

We're going to lose out because they are beating us because the swamp is in the pocket of dirty energy.

Show them donations to Congresspeople on both sides of the aisle. There are tons of arguments that can be made, but you have to speak their language.
