Well howdy there, internet people. It's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's Iran demand being an admission of failure.

Trump and the administration have lost control of the narrative surrounding Iran,

to the point now that even their tough guy demands are

casting the U.S. as weak, and legitimately weaker than it actually is.

Trump started his rhetoric over the recent flare-up in his forever war by posting to social

media, quote, The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue talks.

We have agreed to do so,

but the United States has stated to them in no uncertain terms

that the ceasefire is over.

Over in all caps, by the way very final very tough very strong then the US

immediately undermined its own position by asking that Iran renounce its

strikes on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and promised there would be

toll-free transit.

So, after Trump publicly declared in no uncertain terms that the ceasefire is over all caps,

the administration's move was to beg for a ceasefire in the strait.

The U.S. is no longer negotiating from a position of strength.

This also betrays another problem for the Trump administration.

The request that Iran stopped striking ships is clear indication

that the U.S. is not capable of securing the strait militarily within the

confines of Trump's Forever War strategy. If the U.S. declares the ceasefire over and then has

to immediately ask Iran to stop hitting shipping, that doesn't speak highly of Trump's plans.
