Recently, two conservative pundits,

one a male, the other a female, were having a discussion about the Barbie movie.

The female pundits said, she liked the movie and talked about times when as a woman, the movie

had moments that resonated with her and her other female friends, making her excited,

laugh, and even cry. She perfectly showed why representation in film is so important without

realizing it. I was wondering if you have an opinion on why

Conservatives, as Trey Crowder has put it, often get so close to understanding the

point but end up missing it or end up with a completely wrong conclusion.

Okay, so first, conservatives totally understand the importance of representation in film.

That's why they have the opinion they do.

Make no mistake about it, they don't misunderstand that topic at all.

They totally get it. They understand the power of it. that's not a
