Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we are going to talk about balloons

and how it's not funny anymore.

Because there have been some developments, they are definitely worth going over.

And there needs to be a step back

and that needs to occur pretty quickly. So a quick recap for those who have

missed this incredibly unusual chain of events.

For years, South Korean activists, typically those who are defectors from the north.

They have sent balloons over the border back into the north. They have sent balloons over the border back into the north carrying propaganda,

carrying pamphlets, talking about how much better everything is in the south and making

fun of dear leader and all of that stuff.

And the north recently sent trash and waste via balloon back which prompted another round from South Korean activists

sending like K-pop and more pamphlets. And the balloons went by, tensions rose, worry, worry, super scurry.

It led to the South pulling out of an agreement dealing with the border designed to reduce tensions.

The South Korean government has resumed broadcasting anti-North Korean propaganda via loudspeakers along the border.

The North has said, hey, don't provoke a crisis of confrontation, and then things took a turn that could have been serious.

North Korean troops entered the south.

They were carrying tools.

This area of the border is pretty overgrown, but they were carrying tools.

Luckily, when the South Korean troops fired, they fired warning shots.

The war machine very easily could have sprung to life right then.

This is over balloons, it's balloons, a back and forth with balloons.

The balloons have now successfully turned into bullets.
