All right, guys, we're not going to have our typical video today because we don't have our typical subject.

Unfortunately, we're going to be talking about the school shooting that took place in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic School.

And I'm going to get into the facts of this school shooting.

And I'll be referencing some notes here.

So apologies in advance, but I don't want to misspeak on anything that's taken place.

And we're going to have hopefully a nuanced discussion about the politics behind this,

the back and forth debates and the response to this as of late.

Now, firstly, before we get into any of that, it's unfortunate that this

shooting has claimed the lives of two children, an eight-year-old and a 10-year-old. And I cannot

imagine the utter devastation that families are experiencing right now that those two children

experienced, that peers of these children experience, the community at large in Minneapolis,

all of the city, it seems, is mourning right now. 17 others were also injured in this shooting,

many of whom are children. So it's just, we cannot speak to the catastrophic nature of what's taken

place. Now, the shooter has been identified as 23-year-old Robin Westman, and Robin

Westman took his life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Apparently, at the scene of this

shooting. Okay, so it's always interesting. I never know what to say when things like this take

place. People give thoughts, they give prayers, whatever belief system you have,

you're sharing that, and then people debate back and forth and they scream at you over your beliefs or say your thoughts and prayers are not enough. There's, of course, the consistent

conversations about banning assault rifles, as we're now calling them, at least in the political

sphere of things. There's conversations about mental health.
