Well, howdy there, internet people, it's bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Trump

looking into bailing out farmers because of his terrorists. In a news item, everybody who was around

during the first Trump administration should have known was coming. The effects of Trump's trade policies have damaged

farmers so much that the federal government is exploring options for a bailout. Agriculture

Secretary Brooke Rawlins was talking to the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture

at a meeting in Arkansas, where some are suggesting one in three could go bankrupt,

when she said, quote,

We are working with our colleagues in Congress,

and closely monitoring markets daily

to evaluate the amount of additional assistance that might be needed this fall.

A spokesperson for Senator John Bozeman of Arkansas said the chair of the Senate Agriculture,

Nutrition, and Forestry Committee, quote,

is engaging with his colleagues and the administration about the dire circumstances in rural America and the need

to provide farmers resources to continue farming.

Nothing says successful trade policy quite like dire circumstances in rural America.

As we discussed last Wednesday, China still hasn't bought any soybeans, as Trump's trade war drags on.

Typically, China buys about one out of four soybeans grown in the U.S.

It's incredibly worrying because soybean farmers are seeing an expected increase in average yield per acre.

More soybeans with substantially less soybean demand equals farms operating at a loss.

We've mainly focused on soybeans on the channel because the data is crystal clear, but

it isn't just soybeans.
