So today we are going to talk about the ongoing saga of Virginia's fifth district.

This is one of the high profile Republican primaries where you had good on one side and

McGuire on the other.

The expectation was that McGuire was going to win pretty handily because his opponent,

Good, who is the current chair of the Freedom Caucus. He endorsed Desantis at one point in time and that made Trump

well unhappy. So Trump threw his weight behind McGuire. Good also had something to do with

McCarthy no longer being speaker of the

That's not what's happening.

It is still too close to call.

And it appears that Good plans on fighting it out until the very end and there have been some interesting statements and developments.

So we'll start with this from Good.

This race remains too close to call.

We are in a period where the law allows, or the law provides a process for evaluating the accuracy of all the vote totals from election day to ensure everyone can have full confidence in these certified results

Provisional ballots and melon ballots are still to be counted.

We are asking for full transparency from the officials involved and patience from the people of the 5th District over the coming weeks as

the certification of results is completed.

We believe we can still prevail.

And he also indicated that they're going to have a recount.
