Summary

For years, all we got with Republicans was the promise of “the lesser of two evils.” Meanwhile, things always get worse, and now Republicans can’t even win any more because the voters sense a lack of sincerity. There has to be a point when we finally pull the plug on “vote Republican no matter what.” In my view, that line has been drawn in the Utah gubernatorial race. We’re joined by Utah state Rep. Phil Lyman, who is challenging Gov. Spencer Cox as a write-in candidate during the general election. Lyman makes the case for why this situation is different. He believes that he is the rightful nominee after having won the convention. He describes the web of corruption surrounding the players and the process through which Cox gathered signatures. He also shows how Cox is so liberal that it would actually be worse for him to win than the Democrat. This is something we must keep in mind for the future in other states, if we ever hope to finally break out of the vicious cycle of uniparty failure theater.  Learn more about your ad choices.
