Three weeks into the season, what have we learned about the 2024 Jets?

We don't have a game to recap that was played on Sunday.

We don't have a Monday night football game to get ready for. So the Jets were in the clubhouse early this weekend. They got the first win of week three. Always an enjoyable thing when your team plays Thursday night football and wins because it makes the rest of the weekend so pleasurable to watch. There's no stress. you've already got a good result. You just watch the rest of the NFL. Wasn't that a great weekend that we had as Jets fans? And part of the reason it was such a great weekend was the play of Aaron Rogers. And on today's show, I wanted to talk about what we've learned from the New York Jets the first three weeks of the season. And it's, it's, it's amazing like how fast the season goes by.

And I know I've sounded like Mike Francesca saying that because that's a, that's a classic

Francesa line.

But in some ways, it's true.

I mean, two weeks ago, the Jets were opening the season.

Now they're through three of their 17 games.

It's, you know, I mean, the biggest, biggest reason it feels like the season flies by is that you

only have 17 games. So now you're three games into the season. I mean, we're really, we're really

into the 2024 season. And it's given us a chance to learn some things about the New York Jets.

And I think the first is that it's probably something we already knew going in, but I think

Thursday night's game amplified this. The Jets can go very, very far if Aaron Rogers plays at an elite level. And I think heading into this season, it was fair to question, you know, how good is he going to be. And look, we still don't know how good he's going to be because I think it's fair to say that he's played in an elite level one of the three games. I don't think he's played terribly in any of the three games. In fact, I think his worst game was still probably better than most Jets quarterback's performances in the last five years, which is a very positive thing. But that Thursday night game, in many ways, shows you the potential of this team. Of course, you don't always make good on potential.

You have to go out and deliver each and every week. But the plays Rogers was making in that

game where the types of plays only a handful of quarterbacks in this league can make.
