Welcome to the Thursday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm continuing to teach from first Kings about Elijah, and I have this book entitled Lessons from Elijah, and I tell you this is powerful.

The things we're talking about here have really transformed my life.

You know, just a little personal testimony that when I was young, I really was apologetic about receiving an offering and encouraging people to give,

because I looked at it as I was asking these people to give to me, in a sense it was like, you know, minister begging.

And I had a bad attitude towards it.

I really did.

And it came across.

And I mean, we struggled during that period of time.

And a lot of things happened.

I took a lot of scriptures and meditated on them, because I realized I had a problem in this area.

I just didn't know what it was.

And a lot of things happened, but basically I began to look at things differently.

That when I'm encouraging people to give in an offering, I'm not taking from them, I'm giving to them.

I'm giving them an opportunity to invest.
