Today is the beginning of my second week of teaching on lessons from Elijah.

But basically I spent an entire week on the first five or six verses of 1st Kings chapter 17.

I wish I could go back. Let me just say some things real quickly that the Lord told Elijah to go to the Brook Cheerth and that he had commanded the Ravens to feed him there.

And one of the major points that I was making in the first week of teaching is that God doesn't send his supply for you to where you are, but rather to where he told you to be.

And so if you aren't obeying God, if you aren't doing what he told you to do, there is going to be a supply shortage.

Not because God isn't faithful, but because you aren't where he told you to be.

God told Elijah that I have commanded the Ravens to bring you bread and flesh every morning and evening at the Brook Cheerth.

If he would have stayed where he was, I'm convinced that God would have continued to send the Ravens because he had already commanded him.

He says I have commanded them. Before he told Elijah to go and do, he had already made the supply.

God's supply exists before your need, but you have to obey and do what God told you to do because God doesn't send the supply directly to you.

He sends the supply to where he told you to be. And if you don't obey, if you hold back because you're waiting on God, you make the supply and then I'll go to it.
