Welcome to our Tuesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today, I'm continuing to teach on lessons from Elijah.

Actually, I finished Elijah, but I'm now going into Elijah's replacement.

And the reason I'm combining these is because Elijah actually had to fulfill some of the things that God told Elijah to do.

Elijah did not fulfill everything God told him to do.

In the 19th chapter of 1 Kings, he told him to do three things. He was talking to him in an audible voice.

And Elijah just failed to do two out of three.

And yet, Elijah still was able to recover, have a relationship with God.

And in 2 Kings 2, he was caught up into heaven, just translated into heaven and never died.

That's amazing. I've already said a lot of great things.

But because Elijah did two of the three things that God told Elijah to do,

I'm going into some of the things that Elijah did just to show you.

Because I think that their ministry are really intertwined.

Elijah had to complete some of the things that God told Elijah to do.

So here in 2 Kings chapter 4, yesterday we were talking about the woman who was a widow.

She was the wife of a son of the prophet, but this man had died.

She was unable to pay her bills.

And the creditor had come to take her two children, and she came to Elijah.
