0:13.8	I know it's hard to believe, but Lent is around the corner.
0:17.9	Yes, in just a few weeks, we begin the great season of Lent.
0:22.1	I didn't know it feels like it was just Christmas, but we want to use these weeks here to prepare
0:27.0	our minds and our hearts to enter into this gift that the church gives us every year,
0:32.2	these 40 days of Lent.
0:34.0	It's a wonderful time to go deeper in prayer, deeper in union with our Lord Jesus.
0:39.4	If we don't just stumble into it, I don't know if you've ever had that experience where
0:42.6	you just stumble into Lent, you know, wake up and it's, you know, Ash Wednesday and
0:46.5	obviously I'm like, oh, I got to go get my ashes.
0:48.0	Oh, what am I going to do for Lent?
0:49.2	What am I going to give up this year?
0:51.9	We want to actually enter into the season with a plan.
0:55.5	I want to talk about how we can make that plan.
0:57.8	What are some of the essential elements we want for our Lentan strategy, but I also want
1:02.0	to talk about how we want to be attentive to what God wants to do in Lent.
1:07.5	So we can take time to prepare and ask the Lord what He thinks we need to grow in.
1:13.5	Many times we think I need to do more fasting.
1:15.3	I want to just show God I can give up all these things and make a sacrifice for Him, but
1:19.8	maybe God just wants us to be more patient with our children and with our spouse.
1:25.3	Or we're going to think, I'm going to give up all these shows on TV and on Netflix.
1:31.3	And that's great.
