You wake in a strange room.

Your clothes are foreign and the walls are covered in objects from a different world.

You don't know where or when you are, or if you're still dreaming.

There are footsteps in the hall. Jumping up, you race out of the room and

into the streets. You have just entered the Twilight Histories. Huge war machines made of iron,

empowered by steam and lightning.

Earth-shattering battles that turn the skies black with soot and burning oil.

The experience of being welded into a death machine and driven forward to your doom.

And all this set in a warhammer-inspired ancient Rome?

If you just felt the hairs rise on your arms,

if your brain is trying to form the words,

this is what I've always wanted and never knew it. I've got some good news for you. Because today, it's all metal, all steam, its blood,

its guts, and its giant Roman war machines.

What you're about to hear is a short story that captures a moment from that world.

What I intend to do is build that world out into a multi-part story for our Patreon community.
