With just two months before President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office, his plans

for mass deportations are already running into some challenges.

Now look, mayors and governors in sanctuary cities across the

United States, they're now looking to strengthen policies in their areas in order to protect illegal

immigrants from being deported. But on the flip side of this, Tom Holman, Trump's new border

czar, is saying he is willing to possibly jail these officials if they do that.

And this debate is raising some broader questions around public support and also the overall

legality of sanctuary city policies. But like as this happens, there's new data suggesting

the crime from illegal immigrants is actually more serious than what

we're even being shown, that the numbers are being understated. And this has to do with some of

the areas it's being, the ways it's being collected and documented, which is just not happening

in some regards. And meanwhile, Trump's big tariff plan, well, it's coming in.

Trump has announced that he plans to put tariffs on Canada, Mexico, the Chinese Communist Party,

notably over issues of fentanyl and drug trafficking.

All three countries, in their own ways, are tied into the drug trafficking and money laundering.

And also other crimes as well.

Now, I'll be talking about these stories and more today, so let's dive into it.
