A most surprising thing that I learned when I started telling people that I work at a legal brothel

is that not a single one has been phased.

I don't know if that's because they're just being polite at me.

I don't think so.

My friends mostly were like, oh, yeah, yep, that tracks. They saw my long,

you know, long game, long time in coming, no one was surprised. Only a handful of people who I have

spoken with actually knew that brothels are illegal outside of Nevada here in the United States,

and many people do not know exactly what a brothel is. Like a lot of people are like, oh, where is that in L.A.? And I'm like, I wouldn't have, no, legal and consensual. That's my, that's my phrase. If it's legal and consensual, I will not yuck your yum. I will celebrate what you're into. So a lot of people are also not aware of the stigma that can come

with working as a legal court is in some people, but not the ones I've talked to directly.

Maybe some of the people who have visited the ranch, that is definitely where I learned that

horphobia is a thing. And many people also seem mildly miffed about why I deliver the information, like I'm letting

them in on a personal secret.

I have stopped doing that, actually, since writing this article.
