Because haven’t we all been there — letting other people’s expectations rewrite who we are?

We talked about money, faith, ego, and what it takes to build a creative life that’s rooted in truth instead of image. And somewhere between the laughter and tears, we both realized: the real flex isn’t fame. It’s peace.

This man was like, I need you just sit behind me, Ms. Simone. I was like, yes, sir. Like, I don't know what that means. If they start shooting, you get shot first. Like, security be on it. They be risking their life for little old people like me. I'm like, okay, well, thank God. I, you know, I ain't got nobody on my bad side or nothing like that. So ain't nobody chasing me. Nobody's after me. So my security is pretty safe. They're not secure and much, but we gave us a security. I'm out here doing an event called Girls Trip. I am so excited to be working with this brand. Shout out to Girls Trip Society. They're just so dope. They're a brand here in Dallas, Texas. They booked me to host this event. I'm doing a panel. And it just feels really good to come back home.
