Defensive Democracies, joins me as my colleague and co-host, and we're very pleased to welcome

the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies is David Diyud, our man on

Hezbollah activity that you can see and not see, the headlines in these last days in the

holiday weekend in the U.S. Israeli strikes continue amid ceasefire deal, or Israelis are wary of returning to the north because they

don't trust the ceasefire, or Hezbollah chief, the new chief, Naim Qasam, pledges to coordinate

with Lebanese army to implement truth. David, a very good evening to you. The ceasefire is in place or not in place, depending upon your point of view.

However, the return of the Israelis to the north is the mission statement from the government.

At the same time, the Israeli military has said that it will respond to anything that looks like a gathering of the bad

actors south of the Latani River. What is your measure now after several days of the ceasefire?

Have the Israelis got an effective monitoring system? Is the Lebanese army present in some

fashion to discourage Hezbollah activity?

Is Hezbollah standing down?

Where do we start?

As Bill knows, I am no fan of this ceasefire deal because it does none of the above.

I have not seen any reports of Hezbollah withdrawing north of the LITANI.

The LAF has deployed south of the LITANI in numbers, starting with the first day of the ceasefire.

But we've not seen a single report of the LAF disarming Hezbollah or interdicting any Hezbollah movement or acting against Hezbollah

in even the most minor fashion.

I would not expect that to happen at all moving forward.
