It was the last day of test crickets for English star players Ian Boatham and Alan Lam.

Yut Shaq Rabin won the Israeli Parliamentary election.

And in the UK, the big news if you remember was the introduction of the Cones Hotline.

Enabling members of the public to complain about traffic cones being deployed on a road for no apparent reason.

Is it still a thing, you know?

And finally Ravens Craig still works, the largest hot strip steel mill in Western Europe closed, ending steel making in Scotland.
