Summary

The Bible is the most printed and purchased book in the history of the world. It’s not even close. Yet, for all the talk surrounding the ancient text, very few people actually read it—and even fewer understand it. College friends, Jon and Tim, are doing something about that. Founders of The Bible Project, they’re equipping a generation of readers to engage with and understand the Bible. In this conversation, they give insight into how The Bible Project started, four misguided approaches they see when people pick up the book, and what it’s like to lead a crowd-funded organization.

worldviews are stoked and then ignore all the other losers who don't share it. The book of judges

in the Bible says it this way. It says, everyone did that which was right in their own eyes.

Says that actually more than one time in the book of judges. That's America today. We all do

is right in our own eyes. Speaking of the Bible, it's a topic where this kind of

dangerous group think happens regularly. Everyone's got an opinion on it, and very few people

have actually read it, and even fewer people still actually understand it. It's an ancient

document that seems sometimes to be terribly outdated, and yet it still stands. It's the most criticized
