Who doesn't love the rush of hunting for and discovering lost gold? And our guest today knows exactly what that feels like. In 1715, 11 Spanish ships

filled with gold and treasures for the King of Spain left Havana, Cuba on their return voyage.

The fleet made it as far as the east coast of Florida before they were overtaken by a hurricane,

and in the end, all 11 ships sank, giving their treasures to the sea.

That's where our guest, Brent Brisbane, comes in.

He was propelled by rumors of sunken treasure, and he partnered with his father to purchase the salvage rights of the 1715 Spanish fleet.

Days later, in shallow water off the coast of Florida, they made their first find a bronze cannon with nearly

100 gold and silver coins hidden inside. Are you excited yet? I am. I'm very excited.

Brent and his team's consent continue to make valuable fines, but hit the mother load on

July 31st, 2015, exactly 300 years of the day that the ships

originally sank. And when they recovered 300 gold coins, including seven royals, each valued

at over $300,000 each, all told that week, they received more than $4.5 million million

in lost Spanish gold. Since 2010, Brent and his team have

recovered close to $6.5 million worth of treasure, but they estimate there is something in the

ballpark of $400 million still out there. Brent has appeared on the Today Show, nearly every

cable news network, and he's
