Maui has spent the last two decades in the entertainment industry, developing and writing for Grammy-winning artists, directing music for film and TV, and he co-founded the nonprofit Lift Up Voices, empowering

young voices through creativity and community.

In this session, Mali shares a wild personal story that starts with a quiet spiritual prompting

and ends with an act of radical trust that left the entire room stunned.

He offers a moving look at what it really means to live a faith-filled life, one that's

non-transactional, that doesn't guarantee we'll see the fruits of our actions, but that still says yes to being God's hands. thing because it demands for us to take a leap. We don't know where we're going to land. If we know where we're

landing, then it's not really fate. We have to go into the unknown and it's vulnerable and it's

scary, but we have to take that leap. Am I right? And for me, for me it feels like this.

Half-necked, if not all the way, jumping off a cliff. That's what it feels like, but that's what it requires.

And I was raised in a family that I had two parents that they lived by faith.

Everything was a leap of faith, so that's all I know. And I'm going to

share something with you a story. I work in the music industry. And so, and I live in Los Angeles.

And my recording sessions, they go until like 3 a.m. in the morning. And I finished my session.

And the Lord speaks to me and asks me to go a different way home. I take the

same route usually. I'm in West Hollywood and he says, please take a different route. Yes, Lord,

let's go. So I'm driving and I take a different route and I don't know what it's about. I just

want to go and follow the Lord and let him know that I'm usable.

And as I'm driving, I see a woman with a baby. And it's odd because it's 315 and it's her.

And I'm in West Hollywood on Santa Monica Boulevard and there's a lot of people just kind of coming out of the shadows, all the different neon mesh you can think of.
