But ladies and gentlemen, a lot of people don't believe in coincidences.

I'm not one of them.

I'm presenting a remarkable one to you this week.

It might even be the coincidence of the week.

You may recall during the recent presidential campaign that there was a lot of reporting

about something called Project 2025.

It was produced by the Heritage Foundation, which is a longstanding conservative think tank.

More tank than think.

But it had this Project 2025, which was, I think, about a 900-page publication, so, you know, I didn't read it.

But there were excerpts from it that were published that seemed to indicate a direction for the new putative Trump administration, should it get into office,

that was, to say the least, remarkably different from either traditional Republican conservatism

or anything else we'd seen recently in American politics.

And on the campaign trail, Donald Trump was questioned about Project 2025 and whether he was going to follow its precepts were he to be elected and on more

than one occasion he had the same pretty definite answer he's involved in project

and then they read some of the things and they are extreme I mean they're

seriously extreme but I don, they're seriously extreme.

But I don't know anything about it.

I don't want to know anything about it. They wrote a document that many of the points are fine.

Many of the points are absolutely ridiculous.

I have nothing to do with the document.
