Ladies, Jimman, there are so many countries in the news right now.

Iraq, Ukraine.

Well, this is the United States.

That's about all we got room for.

But another one sort of elbowed its way into the news this week.

Turkey! I said Turkey!

I said Turkey.

I said Twaky. The ostensible reason for Turkey being in the news of course is the

indictment of the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams.

He was indicted by the Southern District of the Federal Court of New York,

Federal District Court of New York, this week for bribery charges took some luxury flights on Turkish

airlines who knew who knew?

Who knew they had luxury flights?

But the accusation that drew my attention,

most avidly was that Turkey was building a skyscraper in Manhattan and the

president of Turkey, Mr. Erdogan, about whom more in a moment, wanted to come visit,

wanted to come preside over the opening of the building.

The only problem was the Fire Department of New York had not yet certified it was safe,

nor had the building department and that was a problem

but Turkey had supplied as I say allegedly Mayor Adams with some goodies and so they prevailed upon him to prevail
