Ladies and gentlemen, I don't often do this when I'm starting today's program.

The kind of a personal note for almost exactly two years.

I've been dealing with a personal health issue connected to a recently famous virus.

It's been, as we like to say here in America, a journey.

This week the clouds lifted. The sun came out and I was released at least temporarily from

viral custody. So I want first of all, thank you listeners for sticking with me.

And also to thank the stations and platforms that continue to carry this program.

Well, regular listeners know that I've been noting his peculiarities since about 2017.

I had been an early adopter of his first electric sedan an enthusiastic adopter

until one faithful day when

I needed service badly.

It was then I realized the wisdom of the old corporate cliche, founders shouldn't be

managers. A car company that doesn't understand the need for customer service is like a cow

that doesn't understand milk. In the intervening years, the Musk story has just gotten more interesting.

It was the company he started to solve the traffic problem in L.A. by building tunnels under an earthquake-prone city.

There were the endless delayed promises, a cyber truck by 2019, full self-driving by whenever you want it,

and a business investment overpaying by multiple millions for a social medium that betrayed
