Ladies and gentlemen, there's a certain degree of relief here in New Orleans today.

Because most of the ice agents that were here over the holiday season have been reassigned to Minneapolis.

So we watch today, as I say, with some feeling of relief, some cock-eyed feeling of satisfaction, relief again,

that this state of Louisiana has a Republican governor.

Because the appearance of this continuing confrontation seems to be the felon in chief versus democratic governors.

But going back, and this other stuff may already be in the memory hole, but you may recall the felon in Chiefe was at Davos this week spoke sort of disparagingly about NATO said the

United States had never asked for anything from NATO of course under Article 5, which calls for the defense of any

member state. NATO came to the defense of the United States after 9-11. But he also said something

else later in the week that, yes, NATO forces did help the United States in Afghanistan, but they stayed away from the front lines.

And that, as you know, caused an eruption of anti-U.S. reaction in European countries.

The Danish prime minister was quoted and was on video as saying to that U.S. president,

F off.

He spelled it out.

But it occurs to me that the two words that might well have been spoken by a European or a Canadian high official this week when the president of the United States denigrated the work of their military

in that

strange thing

called Afghanistan.

Those two words were these.
