On April 25th, President Joe Biden signed a bill passed by Congress that would effectively

ban the popular social media platform Tik-Tok in the United States,

unless its Chinese-owned parent company, Bight Dance, divests from the platform within the next 12 months.

For today's episode, I chose an episode from September 28, 2020.

In the episode, Benjamin Wittis sat down with Bobby Chesney and Jordan Schneider

to discuss former President Donald Trump's threat to shut

weed chat and Tik-talk out of the US market in the last year of his administration.

In response, there were lawsuits, a preliminary injunction, and a deal to purchase TikTokTok and moot the issue out.

They talked about whether the threat from these companies is real

or whether this is more Trump nonsense

and whether the deal to save Tik-Tok would actually work,
