Hey everybody, we're back after a five week break.

Of course, we had banked a number of terrific shows so we could air new ones each week.

And thanks for listening.

These were what we call Evergreen shows.

We had Brian Fogel about the brutal murder of Jamal Kishogi, who's the producer of the

dissident.

We had Adam Surer of the Atlantic Monthly on his book The Cruelty Is the Point, which

makes a very convincing case that Trump, Steve Miller, at all were trying to tell certain

people immigrants say that we're going to make your life so miserable.

We're going to separate immigrants from their children and do nothing to keep track of

them so that we can traumatize families.

And that will discourage these people.

They didn't want from making the trip in the first place.

And that was something that the Trump people did not in spite of the fact that it was

cruel.

Being cruel was the added benefit.

And we had Norman Lear, who did the opposite, a lifetime of creating comedy.

That gave us over a half century of laughter.

And whose point was to create joy and provoke understanding and feelings of commonality.

And we had it just a great string of shows, you know, for a change.
