On April 26, 1980, 14-year-old Lorraine Ron had a taste of freedom.

Her mother was away watching a tennis match, meaning Lorraine had the house to herself that night.

She invited a few friends over, and they hung out and drank for a while before going to bed.

But when Lorene's mother, Judy, returned a few hours later,

she found her daughter's friend fast asleep, but Lorraine was nowhere to be found.

Police initially classified the teenager as a runaway, but her family says she never

would have left everything behind. But over the years, a series of strange phone calls made them wonder,

is Lorraine actually out there somewhere? When a person goes missing, there's a special kind of

pain in the not knowing. I want to tell the stories of those who never came home.
