Hello everyone and welcome to Couples Therapy. My name is Naomi and my name is Andy and we're a real-life couple.

A real-life couple of comedians. On Couples Therapy, we answer a couple of different questions from a couple of different listeners.

Naomi, I gotta tell you. Right before hello everyone, by the way, welcome to the show. This is the introduction, if you've never heard this before.

There's a short introduction, then there's the actual episode. I have to tell you. Tell you Naomi and tell you listeners before we started recording.

Now, Paul Rubens, P.B. Herman, passed away early this week. It's very sad.

We hear of many of ours. It's not unique if I'm like, oh, I loved him when I was a child. However, I was reading his Wikipedia article before we started recording.

He was Jewish. I did not know this. I did not know this. He was not very vocal. He did change his name. It was something like Paul Rubenfeld, something like that.

Something like it or something. I believe that's what it is. Well, it wasn't like Paul Israel. It wasn't like... It wasn't Paul Judah Ben Macabee or something like that. It was Rubenfeld.

Paul Rubenfeld. I mean, I understand that was the era when everyone, you know, John Stewart, what's his real name?

Oh, I don't even know. John Kala, something like that. He changed his name. But, you know, everyone's changing their names.

John Stewart Leibowitz. Yeah, that's his neighborhood.

A canticle for John Stewart Leibowitz. I was lamenting. Now, when you were saying that, well, maybe you just didn't know.

No, maybe he had talked about being Jewish and you just didn't know. But I think as a child, I would have really appreciated him being vocal about being Jewish.

It would have been nice to have a mainstream Jewish hero. Right. When I'm a... Look.

Was Weird Al Jewish? No. He's not Jewish. He's not Jewish. Okay, because I was like, he was mainstream.

I mean, look at this. Yeah. So, who's searching? Who's mainstream? These are my heroists, Chad. The monkeys. Weird Al. Peewee Hermann. Right.

All right. And it would have been, you know, as growing up in such a Christian area. Yeah. It would have been nice to have a...

out and proud. Where in a Yamaka? Just every episode of Yamaka No Explanation. Yeah.

But see then, feeding Cherry Kala and Chaman Toshin. But don't you think then, if he had been outwardly Jewish, vocally Jewish,

that then people would have accused him of being somehow anti-Semitic, because Peewee was such a weirdo?

You know what I mean? Like, it's such a... it's such a double-edged soul.
