And this week, we're going to be discussing the 2024 film Late Night with the Devil, written and directed by Cameron and Colin Cairns, and starring David Dastmulchian,

Laura Gordon, and Ian Bliss. In this film, a late-night television host in the 1970s

attempts to boost his show's viewership by engaging with some dark forces while on the air.

Brian, I know it's been a slow start to the year, horror film-wise, but it feels like with this film, things might be kicking into gear.

How are you feeling about this year in horror so far?

Yeah, I think it's been a very slow year, and this is where we begin here.

I think we had to choose between this and immaculate for this episode and then the first

omen is coming out soon so yeah yeah there we go and speaking of all those movies man

you keep talking about the rise in religious horror and I've kind of been like brushing it off

like oh I'm not sure if it's enough to call it a trend. I don't want to say something, but it felt like that.

Yeah, I mean, like on the weekend following Easter, a very Christian holiday,

there will be three movies in the theater dealing with the devil or religion in general.
