Just a quick note that there won't be a Let's Know Things episode this week.

I decided to take a week off after more than six years of not doing that, as I've been in

the process of expanding my news analysis efforts through this show, but also one sentence

news and another upcoming project called Notes on the News.

And it's become increasingly clear to me as I've worked on these projects,

that rather than simply telling other people that they need to step away from the news periodically

for mental health and recalibration and doing other stuff purposes, I should probably follow that

advice myself as well, at least more intentionally and regularly than I currently do. So after six

and a half years-ish of bullying through everything from holidays to breakups, producing podcast

episodes stubbornly, even at moments when I probably should have

taken a break, I'm going to instead take this week to think about and work on other things

to spend time with people in real life, and to generally just not be plugged in to the current

events and news firehose 100% of the time. And I'm going to try to do this periodically

this upcoming year as well for those same reasons. Now folks who are paying supporters of this show
