if absence makes the heart grow fonder, why do we give presents?

Now, that's a good line from Jim and if it sounded like I over pronounced it it's

because it's a it's a play on words why do we give presents spelled P-R-E-S-E-N-C-E?

In other words, being there, our presence.

So it's not presents like gifts, PR-E-S T S, but presents like, well, our being there.

So he's wondering if absence makes the heart grow fonder. Why do we give presents? A good play on words line. Good one Jim and

well like so many men, so many of us, it would appear that every girl he's ever liked

goes out with someone else immediately. But like someone who is not afraid to well bring

flowers to a girl he likes and not afraid to say something like that

line that makes the girl either really like him a lot because she thinks wow

this guy's well so poetic and so artistic and he's a thinker.

And either that or she thinks, I've got to leave right now.
