Language is powerful.

Language makes powerful.

Language makes humans distinct from all other species.

And it's also what has created the world we see around us.

But language has a destructive power too because we can take experiences

we can separate ourselves from the world from the web of existence and in that separate self give rise to concepts and create actually the machinery for our own destruction,

everything from ecosystem destruction to the extinction of species to

nuclear weapons to biological warfare to internet hacking is

created by language and these days mathematical language because

mathematic is a more refined form of

language which is more universal but still a language. Mathematics looks at

the web of relationships and patterns and then gives names to these and symbols to these.

So what is the role of language in our healing in telling our personal and

collective story? Well it's up to us. Language can be divine and diabolical. It can be

destructive. It can be constructive. It can

destroy.

I personally always ask myself before speaking,

is it necessary?

What I'm going to say, is it necessary?

What I'm going to say, is it necessary?

Is it useful?

Is it productive?
