Welcome to the podcast. My name is Douglas Wilson. This is episode 384. 384 times we've done this. That's amazing. Thanks for joining us. So in the recent past, King Charles III came over to Canada and gave a speech there in Canada. And at the beginning of his speech,

he spoke what has come to be called a land acknowledgement. And this is sort of the,

one of the latest things that is done in woke places, woke parliaments, woke universities, woke corporations, is you start,

you have a meeting or a parliament or a convention or whatever.

And before anything is said, instead of giving an invocation asking God to bless it,

what you do is you make a

statement that is a land acknowledgement saying, we acknowledge that this land originally belonged to the

Iroquois, or originally belonged to the Sioux, or originally belonged to whichever tribe it was and we're very sorry about

everything and then they have their meeting now here's the this is my question why if they're so

worked up about this what makes them think that a land acknowledgement does anything? If you own a company

and you start off your business meeting with a land acknowledgement, this land that our factory

was built on originally belonged to, you know, the Ottawa, why not give the land back?

You know, a man can't rob a bank and then get off by simply acknowledging that he did so.

Land acknowledgements are lame. What they are is a pry bar or a lever. So since they're not really lame, there must be something else going on. There must be some other thing in play. Everybody knows that you can't give the land back because, you know, let's say there's a whole city built on, you know, Manhattan kind of took over Manhattan Island, right?

So what's happening? What's this a play for? Well, it's a play for other political perks. So another

saying that is getting, gaining currency on the basis of this is that no one is illegal on stolen land.

No one is illegal on stolen land.

So if you've got hundreds of thousands of Central Americans coming across the border,

we can't say that they're illegal and deport them

because basically it's one thief doesn't get to charge another thief with thievery.

So this is, since this is stolen land, come one, come all. This is stolen land.

Everybody can do everything.
