This is CBS I and the world. I'm John Batchett. To Lancaster County, the best county in the

Keystone State now being pummeled by Tropical Storm Debbie, formerly Hurricane

Debbie. I grew up in Philadelphia and so did Jim and we remember those hurricanes that would come

across Jersey and hit Philadelphia. Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain rain very humid of course Philadelphia is always

human and then the sky would clear Jim a very good evening to you are you in

the sky clearing part or the raining part in Lancaster County?

Good evening to you. Good evening John. Well right now the rain has stopped but it's

still cloudy. We see bands of Debbie coming through like every 30 minutes with some

regular I already will have a downpour but you know I have a little Kanawago Creek in my backyard.

It's not over its banks.

The plants love this.

We had, you know, we've had a rain shortage here

in Lancaster County.

It's great for the sweet corn.

So my theory is that the TV news has,

they have small budgets, and it's easy to cover the weather

and they deploy their troops to cover the weather and when

Debbie is a downer in terms of intensity they tend to hype it so you know Debbie

it's just a a, needed rain here in Reichester County.
