Lamar Jackson doesn't finish practice. But let's start off on a good note. Only a scare had his foot stepped on doesn't look like this is going to be any kind of an issue for us. No, we should be good. teammates were saying there's no way he's going to miss any time. And I would agree with that. He did get back up after he got stepped on threw a few more passes then went inside with the trader. Look, they're going to be very cautious with him.

They also noticed he was flexing his wrist or his hand as he left the field. The left. So non-throwing. So there's that. But moments like these need to be watched as the season officially kicks off two weeks from today, Mike, over the Cowboys of Philadelphia, the Ravens open their season three days later in Buffalo.

Don't be surprised that the Ravens take a very cautious approach in the interim, and we'd appreciate that.

Yeah, no doubt, right? We don't need anything to happen to Lamar. We know how good he is and how prolific he is.

So same with Justin Jefferson, Bob. It looks like he's trending in the right direction as on track, they say, for week one.

But his running major Madison, who we already know is suspended for three games,

suffered in apparent hand or arm injury during practice yesterday. Tom Pelliseros said with the

Meanwhile, we're drafting Jefferson as wide receiver two with the fifth pick overall. That's maybe down a little bit, but we're doing it pretty much side-unseen as the Vikings ramp him up slowly. They've held him out for almost a month. Also wisely so, and I'm not really worried about him, but it's hard for me to take them ahead of C.D. Lamb, given the circumstances. And I'm not even factoring in JJ McCarthy being a first time starter. I think that's fine. But early in the first round, you start getting a little bit edgy. I did see Jefferson go number two in the fantasy football world championships right behind Jamar Chay. So you never know, right? It comes down to personal preference and risk

tolerance. Let's talk Washington and risk tolerance when it comes to Terry McLaurin.
