Summary

The Nuggets survive the Lakers’ best shot with aplomb, as their offensive brilliance pushed the Lakers into too many difficult decisions. Plus, the Nuggets are a lot better at a pretty important skill. We look at two vanquished teams with high expectations and expensive rosters. What effect will the new CBA have on these teams’ approaches? For Philly, what is the plan if James Harden stays, and why might they blanche at offering him a long-term deal? What mechanisms are available to pivot if Harden returns to Houston? With Jordan Poole’s extension kicking in and Draymond Green’s player option, the Warriors face a financial apocalypse. But they also have plenty of assets to make a big move if needed.
