What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And this is going to be a two pod day. We're recording a quick one. This is going to be a little bit shorter than our others. as the Lakers have traded Dalton Connect, a 2031 first round pick, a 2030, I'm sorry,

as the Lakers have traded Dalton Connect, Cam Reddish, a 2031 first round pick and a 2030

pick swap to the Charlotte Hornets for big man Mark Williams-D, and so we're going to break that down. My first reaction is excitement,

even though Dalton is my guy, and I think that he's going to have an excellent career.

There's also a little bit of trepidation. If you are looking at Mark Williams as all of our

issues at the five are solved, we have our guy for the next five,

10 years. I think it's possible, but I think he's a little bit younger than Dalton, even though

he's in his third year. He is sloppy in some ways that put a limit on him, especially on

the defensive end, that we're going to get into D. But he is a big, big guy that's a 15 and 10 guy.

He immediately improves the Lakers' rebounding.

When we were going into this trade deadline, D, remember my top two concerns were number

one, the ability to get a rebound, number two, the ability to score in the half court
