to the Lock on Lakers podcast I'm Anthony Erwin. I am joined by nobody. I am going to do a

quick show solo Sunday afternoon. The Lakers were back in the practice

facility apparently yesterday so we have that to talk about and then I have a

couple questions here from the iTunes mailbag so plenty of stuff to get to to. I can't ask myself a hypothetical stupid

question so we're just going to move on. I want to start like I said though with the

Lakers reopening their practice facility.

Apparently they got some exception having to do with, you know,

mental health or something like that.

I forget exactly what it was. But you know I don't really

want to get into whether or not you know they should get preferential treatment

compared to the other small

businesses that have really struggled through all this.

You know, in general preferential treatment isn't the best, you know, it's not, but, you know, you also kind of have to be realistic and recognize that the city of LA is taking care of one of its absolute biggest money drivers.

And you know from from that standpoint even though it's probably kind of cold and kind of cruel business.

But you know from that standpoint I think that's why the city of LA has been so willing and then you know the state of California has been so

willing to work with the Lakers on this and and in general I think that's why

across the country you're seeing so many professional sports leagues, you know, get somewhat or actually prioritized, you know, throughout all of this is everybody, you know, there's a lot of businesses that are just you know

begging to be reopened and and absolutely desperately need to be reopened

you know there's a lot of small business owners out there who

are really struggling through all this and you know, in my opinion, there wasn't enough

done to support those small businesses over the course of this pandemic.
