| 0:00.0 | Hello, Lakers Nation. Welcome in Trevor Lane here for the Lakers Nation.com podcast. |
| 0:05.3 | You can find me on Twitter at Trevor underscore Lane over on Instagram at Trevor Lane, |
| 0:09.3 | NBA. We've got a number of topics to get into on today's show. |
| 0:13.6 | Kick things off with the big question about whether or not the Lakers are actually on the right track. |
| 0:19.0 | So after the Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets, |
| 0:22.1 | which snapped their win streak, |
| 0:23.9 | remember no LeBron, no Anthony Davis, |
| 0:26.0 | no Troy Brown Jr., Lonnie Walker, Austin Reeves, |
| 0:28.8 | heck, even Patrick Beverly had to leave partway through the game. |
| 0:32.3 | The Lakers had a skeleton, |

| 1:16.7 | But basketball isn't always just about the wins and losses in the NBA. |
| 1:21.6 | Ultimately, yes, your record matters and it matters whether or not you win the game. |
| 1:25.2 | And of course it does. |
| 1:26.5 | But you also measure a team by how well they're playing, how they're competing. |
| 1:31.2 | See, the NBA, sometimes it's an oversimplification to say it's a make or miss league. |
| 1:36.1 | But it's also not wrong. |
| 1:37.5 | Like you can play a great game and just have a subpar shooting night and wind up losing. |
| 1:43.9 | Conversely, you can play a terrible game and have a hot shooting night and wind up winning a game. |
| 1:48.8 | That type of variance game to game does exist. |
