Hello, Lakers Nation. Welcome in to the Lakersnation.com podcast live. I'm Trevor Lane. We're kicking off the offseason live shows here.

Happy to have you all in to talk some Lakers basketball. We'll talk a little bit about what changes the Lakers need to make.

We'll talk about the coming opportunities, whether that's trades, free agency, whatever. Of course, we'll be taking questions, comments from all of you, tuning in as well. Join me today to kick all this off. It's been a week since the end of the season, and I'm glad I get Alan on to kick things off here for us. Alan Slewa, my good friend, how are you doing? What is going on, Tre? What are we doing here? Are we really having a having a show did the off season already start are we already a week into the off season what happened man it's it's crazy man we were talking a little bit right before we came on the air here it still doesn't feel real that the lakers aren't playing basketball right now it's it's unfortunate tragic really but uh somehow some way we're going to have to get through. By the way, I should note, we're doing like a little home and home here. I'm going to be live tomorrow morning on Allen's show. So you guys could check that out in like what, I don't know, 11 hours or something like that. We're going to be live on your show in the morning. Yeah, maybe what we do is we just stream all the way to the morning show and we'll just keep going. We're just kind of like a marathon here. Let me, let me grab a few energy drinks and it will be good. We'll get through it. I'll do coffee. You do your energy drinks. We'll be, uh, we'll be all set. There go there we go hey quick note before we get going

everybody uh our live show schedule this is what it's going to be moving forward for the month

of may and pretty typical during the off season we go monday evenings wednesday evenings and then

friday afternoon we kick off the weekend with a fun friday so monday evenings we're going to go

from here on out nine p.m pacific here on out, 9 p.m. Pacific

Time, Wednesdays, 9 p.m. Pacific time. And then Fridays at 2 p.m. Pacific time will kick off the weekend with a little fun Friday. So that's when you can expect us to be live for the foreseeable future. May have a few days at the end of the month here that need to get rescheduled or something as I'm going to take a little a little family trip but other than that we should be

live at all of those times so make sure you guys let's get into the routine we're going to be coming in here every monday wednesday and friday mondays and wednesdays 9 p.m. pacific time and of course as stuff is happening in the off season as needed we'll jump on we'll do. Of course, there's going to be all kinds of content here on the channel. Lakers Nation, we're going to be breaking down the ideal off seasons, looking at free agency, who could the Lakers target, look at a trade rumors, who can they trade for, all kinds of stuff that we're going to be getting into. So again, make sure you do hit that subscribe button. Alan, let me ask you this. Right now, are you getting through the same way I am getting

through all of this? And that is simply by living vicariously through other teams because right now,

I may be at this moment the biggest Knicks fan on the planet right now, Alan.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

No, no, listen, you and I have been a part of Knicks Nation for a long time.

I mean, back when Phil Jackson won an NBA championship with the Knicks,

I think you and I were at that game.

So, I mean, we have a long history with the Knicks. Okay, so there are times

where, yes, I want to live through other teams, but then there's other times, you know,

what do you make of yesterday when you're watching the Warriors and the Timberals? Did you not feel

more insecure after last night's game than you did even a week ago? I think it kind of sometimes

it hurts us and sometimes it helps us. I don't know if last night helped, but tonight certainly helped. So like you mean when the Nuggets won the title and they beat the Lakers to get there, then you could say, well, at least the team that went down to the championship team beat it, right? I get that. I get that. The Wolves played awful in game one against the Warriors, but they also played awful in game one against the warriors but they also

played awful in game five against the lakers the lakers just didn't capitalize um so yeah i guess

that doesn't make me feel much better there but right now though you know sports is a roller coaster
