Hello, Lakers Nation. Welcome to the Lakers Nation.com podcast. My name's Trevor Lane, and it's game day. Lakers versus Hornets this afternoon, 4 o'clock Pacific time, early game. We'll see if the Lakers can extend their winning streak to four games on the road. Now, we've got a lot to get into on today's show. We've got the Lakers Hornets matchup. I'm going to talk a little bit about that to kick things off. We need to get into Miles Turner, a big name out there, potentially on the trade market for the Lakers. I'm going to look at how the Lakers can trade for him, and then what would the ramifications of that be? And why would the Indiana Pacers perhaps want to trade him away? So I want to break down that whole situation. We'll finish things off by getting into the mailbag and that will allow me to pinball through a number of different topics. Now, I do want to say that before we get into everything, you guys know what time of year it is. It's trade season right now. There's a lot of stuff going on. So make sure if you're not a subscriber yet, watching on the the YouTube channel right now about half of you watching this over on YouTube are not subscribers.

We're expecting the Lakers to make some, at least I am, fingers crossed.

1:09.9

Hopefully they're going to be able to get some things done coming out of the trade deadline. So again, hit that subscribe button. All right, let's get into this. So we've got Lakers Hornets tonight. As of right now, our friends over at Bet, U.S., have the Lakers as six point favorites against Charlotte. The Hornets have one of the worst records in the NBA, but they can be a

1:29.0

dangerous team on any given night. So currently, the Lakers are six point favorite. When we get

1:33.6

into the injury report, that'll make a little bit more sense as well. We'll take a look at the

1:37.7

injury report for both teams. But again, Lakers are six point favorite right now and the over

1:42.8

under a 222 points scored combined for these two teams.

If you guys want to get in on that, you guys can check out BetUS.

They do a fantastic job over there.

1:54.0

And as always, they've got a great deal right now.

So here we go right now for the Lakers. I'll tell you what. First and foremost, there are a few concerning things on here. But first and foremost, I love that the name Jared Vanderbilt is no longer on there.

2:19.3

I love seeing that.

2:20.6

I love seeing that Jared Vanderbilt's name is not on the injury report.

2:23.7

God, he was awesome, awesome in his debut the other night against the Golden State Warriors.

2:30.0

So I love that Vando is not on the injury report at all.

2:33.1

Anthony Davis and LeBron James are both listed as probable. I would assume that they are going to play. Rui Huchamura and Gabe Vincent, though, questionable to play in this one. Rui is still dealing with that left calf issue. He has dealt with calf injuries in the past. He did miss last game against the Warriors. And in his place, Doreen Phine Smith started. I'd imagine if Rui can't go for this one, it will be the same thing. Doreen Phine Smith would stick in the starting lineup. But here's the other thing, Gabe Vincent now with left knee soreness, that's not great given Gabe's history last season with the knee issues that we saw, especially now that he's really just starting to round into form. It's only been for the last, you know, month or so that we've

3:13.1

really seen kind of the Gabe Vincent that we were hoping to see when he first signed with the

3:17.3

Lakers two summers ago. So Gabe Vincent now being listed as questionable with left knee sort is,

3:22.1

that's not ideal, especially because the Lakers are particularly thin at the point guard position now.

3:26.8

I would assume that Shake Milton might get some more opportunities if Gabe can't go.
