Ho, ho, oh, no. Lakers Nation, the Lakers, no show on Christmas in an embarrassing loss to the Houston Rockets.

What the hell is going on with this team?

How dare they not show up on Christmas Day of all days with everyone watching all eyes on them. And to turn in that

kind of flat performance, absolutely absurd and ridiculous stuff from the Lakers tonight. We'll

down. I know a lot of you out there are frustrated. Certainly so, not the way you wanted to cap off your Christmas, seeing the purple and gold, no show the way they did tonight. A lot of different factors at stake here in this one, beyond just effort. But man, it really felt like once again, the Lakers played a team that wanted this game a hell of a lot more than

they did. All right. A lot of stuff for us to get into. Let's get into your thoughts,

your comments. The final score for this one, 119 to 96. 119 to 96. Absolutely atcious stuff from the Lakers only 96 points the most points they scored in a quarter was 28 and the offense has been the best part of this Lakers team so far this season their offense couldn't seem to get going they didn't particularly shoot poorly right 51% for the for the field, 37% from three. That's fine.

But you take 13 less shot attempts to the Lakers, the NBA low in field goal attempts per game,

64% from the free throw line hurts as well. So you take 13 less shots than the Rockets do.

The Rocket shoot a slightly higher percentage than the Lakers do, but you turn the ball over 16 times and you give up to a Rockets team whose strength is the offensive glass.

You give up 17 offensive rebounds compared to just seven on your own. And the Lakers looked completely incapable of getting stops.

When they needed to, when the Lakers did turn the ball over,

they tended to give up points off of those turnovers.

So we look at points off of turnovers, 23 to 11.

I thought there was an athleticism edge that the Rockets had, which we knew going in, but the Lakers looked pretty slow for most of the game.

And this was a problem all throughout this one.

And the Lakers just seemed like they hit a point in these games where they recognize that

they aren't going to be able to get stops.

And they just kind of let go with the rope and they just go, well,

yeah, we're not going to be competitive.

I mean, look at the rockets plus minus is not a great stat.
