I would do the Lakers yesterday with Derriest Sorryano time for the other L.A. team, maybe the better L.A. team.

This year, the L.A. Clippers with the athletics that you have on Buhat. How you doing, man? I'm doing good. How are you doing?

Great. I was getting a little nostalgic before you got on the line because I think that you were there when I did my first ever voice thing related to the NBA.

It was one of those old Clipper blog live shows.

Yes, yes. I remember the year from the arena afterwards. You'd set up headphones and put the laptop on top of the media row and get the court behind us.

And shoot a show for 40 minutes after a Clipper game. It's a long way from those days, I guess.

Those were the good old days.

It's the beginning of Lob City.

Yeah, that's right. I mean, it's pretty amazing to think of all the iterations as franchise has been through since then.

So I guess the place that I wanted to start with this team is not necessarily who they added, but to talk about what they were last year and kind of establish a baseline for what they have added.

So they were 48 and 34 a year ago ended up losing as the eighth seed to the Warriors in six pretty hard fought games.

And so it's kind of the thought has been at you know, they had this awesome scene. They won 48 games.

They're adding Paul Georgian, Kawaii Leonard. Now they're going to be awesome. How much do you buy into that line of thinking?

Or do you think there's some more nuance required than that?

I think there's a little bit more nuance required just because it's not as simple as just adding Kawaii and PG to last year's team because they lost Shae Gilges Alexander.

They lost the needle gallery. And those were really two big pieces for them offensively.

So Gallow probably was their best player start to finish last season. Shae really came into his own after the all star break and kind of peaked in the playoffs.

I think it was that game five or no it was game four where they lost that game. But he had 25 points.

I was his career high at that time. And you know he guarded my clay guarded by Dremon scored on them kind of effortlessly.

And it was such like this is what we'd been seeing all season sort of the manifestation of Shae coming alive on the national stage.

So I think they're going to miss both of those guys and they're really going to miss them when you know to start the season when PG's out for the first few weeks or when Kawaii takes a night off like it's not just going to be last season's clippers team without them.

It's going to be last season's clippers team without Shae and Gallow which you know is not a 48 one team. I don't even know if that's a 41 team.
