Well, I'm really delighted to Carl Turner, who is the MP for Kingston upon Hull East.

It's fair to say, a Labour loyalist, but a thoughtful one.

In fact, he's done very courageous stuff coming out swinging against the attempt to scrap jury trials, awful policy.

What the hell's going on, Carl?

Well, it's a catastrophe, isn't it?

But it's one that has been made by the Prime Minister in Downing Street.

I think the reality is he's not been a very

good manager of the Parliamentary Labour Party. He's been not very interested in the stuff that matters.

For example, he would allow people like Max Sweeney in Downing Street to manage the PLP in a way

that the PLP were not prepared to take on board.

That is the reality of where we've ended up, I'm afraid.

And, you know, not many of us have had a decent relationship with care.

My relationship's been good in the sense that we've texted one another a lot of the time.

I texted him this morning, in fact. He's not replied,

because him and I have fallen out recently over the jury policy. But look, you know, the truth is

this is self-induced, is ignored, is treated members of parliament with absolute contempt,

and really and truthfully, you know, you need to remember who your friends are on the way up because you need them on the way down. I mean, do you think part of the problem is he just didn't really have a vision for the country? Because when they came in and did their interfuel payment, that's a classic example. I mean, that must just come up all the time. When you talk to people locally, I bet that comes up over and over again still. And they thought that was really clever. They thought, our little show, we're prepared to make tough decisions, we'll get respect from the country. And people looked at that and thought, he wants to, he wants to freeze my granny. It didn't go down very well. What do you think? I mean, what, isn't that the issue? They just, they didn't seem to have a vision,
