Today, we'll learn the history of La Isla de la Muyankas, discuss its original caretaker,

Julien Barreira, and what he experienced on the island during the 1950s, and how the

legend of the dolls grew and grew from that point forward. Finally, what's become of this island

willies, so uh, this is Declanava Pott. It looks like a scene from a horror movie. Hundreds of

dolls strung up and hanging from trees. Anastasia's uncle started collecting these dolls 50 years ago

after he found the body of a young girl who drowned on these shores. He found the dolls in the

canals and in a trash. He started hanging them up to protect him and to try to scare away the

spirit of the girl. Now every year or more tourists with a morbid curiosity come to visit the

island. Australia and even Russia. They've been brought here by visitors from all over the world.

And this is not the only frightening folktale that has origins here in San

Junoco.

Uh, well fellas, we get a little bit of a break from all that killing we've been discussing

the last three weeks. That's a lot, right? It's been a dark November. Like low-key dark like

don't really hear of Danny rolling too much. Yeah, like I'm reading the outline. I'm like,

start trembling like this is horrifying. This is not what I expected these to be. Like three

weeks of carnage, non-stop carnage. Right. I need a break. We get something a little different now.
